The Triton Poker Super High Roller Series is a series of poker tournaments held three to four times yearly at various locations worldwide. It’s become synonymous with exclusivity, luxury, and unparalleled competition, and in November this year, it’s set to return to the Salle des Étoiles, an iconic gambling venue in Monte Carlo.

Andy Wing, CEO of Triton Poker, had this to say about the tournament:

The Triton Poker Series has always been about more than just the cards—it’s about creating unforgettable moments in the world’s most luxurious settings. Our Monte-Carlo event is a celebration of poker’s finest talents, set against the stunning backdrop of one of the most prestigious locations in the world. We invite everyone to not just watch, but truly be a part of this unparalleled experience.

This year’s series will feature 14 elite events, including Pot Limit Omaha and No Limit Hold’em formats. However, the center stage will be taken by the Triton Invitational. This invitation-only event draws the best of the best. Business luminaries and their chosen professional players compete in a high-stakes battle of strategy and skill.

History of the Triton Poker Series

Paul Phua and Richard Yong founded the Triton Poker Series in 2016. Most commonly played variants include No Limit Hold’em and Short Deck. Occasionally, the tournament schedule also features Pot-Limit Omaha.

A noteworthy part of the series is the invitational tournaments. The first one was held at the London Hilton in August 2019. There were 54 participants, and the buy-in was £1,050,000. The game was named the Triton Million for Charity and was the most expensive poker tournament to date. £50,000 was collected from each buy-in, amounting to a massive £2,750,000. The 54 players generated a total prize pool of £54,000,000.
