The Managers of the New Durango Resort Were Revealed Executives Named by Station Casinos

Gaming and entertainment giant, Station Casinos, is getting ready for the grand opening of its long-awaited Durango Resort. The opening of the resort is now less than a year away, and with this in mind, officials from the gaming group have decided to release the names of new executives for the destination resort.

Last week Station Casinos officials publicly revealed the details of its future leaders for the casino resort. This included the details of the new vice president as well as other senior executives who will be in charge of different departments at the development once it is up and running.

Once opened, the casino development will offer a host of facilities and amenities for visitors and will prove to be a valuable addition to the area.

Some of the Leaders Revealed by Station

The names and details of a number of senior executives were revealed last week by Station Casinos, and these included execs with years of experience within the industry. Among those to be named was David Horn, who will serve as the vice president and general manager of the resort.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

Horn, a 28-year hospitality industry veteran, most recently served dual roles as vice president and assistant manager of the Palms and corporate vice president of table games for Station Casinos. He also held the general manager title at Palace Station for three years.

It was revealed that Horn has already been overseeing the development process of the new destination casino resort on a day-to-day basis. This includes all aspects of the pre-opening such as hotel operations, the casino, marketing campaigns, recruitment, sales, and various other aspects. This is something that he will continue to do throughout the construction process.

The resort’s vice president of hospitality at the resort was named as Kai Speth. He will be responsible for a range of operations including amenities at the resort, food and beverage, and guest experiences, as well as the front office.

Speth has more than three decades of experience in the hospitality sector across the globe and has held a range of senior executive roles in this sector over the years.

Station Casinos officials also announced that Daniel Ye would be taking on the role of executive chef at the resort. He will be in charge of all culinary operations at the facility and has experience in various hospitality settings in senior chef positions.

Opening Next Fall

The casino resort is expected to open next fall if everything runs to plan, with the ground-breaking at the $750 million resort taking place earlier this year in March.

Once it opens, the development will offer a host of amenities and facilities such as a hotel with more than 200 rooms, a casino floor spanning over 80,000 square feet, and a range of bars and lounges as well as dining facilities.

It will help to boost tourism in the area, which will also benefit other local businesses and will also create huge numbers of new jobs.
