Red Rock Resorts Red Rock Expands Portfolio

It has been revealed that Red Rock Resorts is expanding its portfolio by entering the tavern gaming industry.

This move has been approved by gaming regulators in Nevada, enabling the gaming giant to debut its new brand called Seventy Six by Station Casinos. The plans were revealed by the operator in a recent earnings call, with the first Seventy Six venue set to be launched in North Las Vegas by the end of September this year.

The operator is keen to expand its footprint in Nevada, and this move is thought to be part of a wide strategy that will enable the company to achieve this goal. As a result of the approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board regarding Red Rock’s licensing, the company can now operate small gaming venues.

Small Venues with Restrictions

Tavern gaming venues are small establishments that have restrictions in place in terms of the number of gaming machines that can be operated at the property. No more than 15 gaming machines are allowed, and this means that customers get to enjoy a more intimate gaming experience in a small and cozy venue.

Scott Kreeger, President of Station Casinos, is very optimistic about the company’s move into tavern gaming. He said that Red Rock was diversifying its portfolio and planned to continue to do so in the future, including establishing both larger and smaller venues.

He said,

We’re always looking for opportunities to bring our products closer to our customers, and the tavern business is a natural extension of what we already do.

It was revealed that the tavern will offer both limited gaming options for visitors and a range of dining options for patrons to enjoy.

The Addition of More Seventy Six Locations

The first Seventy Six by Station Casinos venue is set to open at the corner of Centennial and Lamb at 6345 N Lamb Blvd, according to reports. This will be the start of an exciting journey for the operator, as there are plans to open more Seventy Six locations in the near future.

It was revealed that another two Seventy Six sites are scheduled to open in January 2025, one of which will be located close to Kyle Canyon on the U.S. 95 highway and the other on Aliante Parkway. There are currently a total of seven openings planned, and the company hopes that these will all be completed by either the end of 2025 or the early part of 2026.

While the company aims to stay on schedule with its planned openings over the coming year, officials did state that this would depend upon market conditions and the ability to find suitable sites for upcoming venues.

The venues will target the younger age group, according to reports, and all of the Seventy Six establishments will offer a combination of gaming entertainment and dining facilities. This includes the addition of 15 bar-top machines with more than 55 games, such as keno, poker, and blackjack, among others.

There will also be additional entertainment facilities, such as big-screen TVs and app-enabled jukeboxes.
