Mohegan Sun Pocono Gets Rebranded

It was announced earlier this week that the Mohegan Sun Pocono casino has been rebranded and is now known simply as Mohegan Pennsylvania.

According to officials from the group, this was a strategic decision because most people refer to the brand as ‘Mohegan’ so it made sense to simplify the name accordingly. The move comes after the group name was also changed from Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment to just Mohegan.

Ray Pineault, CEO of Mohegan, said that the decision was made as part of a renovation project that is known as Project Starlight. This project will include $10 million being spent on renovations to the venue’s 237-room hotel.

He said that the rebranding of the property encapsulated the capabilities and values of the brand and that it created synergy across the group’s portfolio.

Anthony Carlucci, president & GM of Mohegan Pennsylvania, expressed excitement over the upcoming plans for the casino resort and said that there was a lot to look forward to. He spoke about the up-and-coming renovations and plans for the property and said that customers would be able to look forward to new and exciting experiences.

The Next Phase for Mohegan Pennsylvania

Carlucci went on to say that the casino resort was now looking forward to moving onto its next phase following the rebranding. He said:

There is so much to be excited about as we approach the new year…With a new name, revamped hotel, new attractions, and the continued unrivaled guest service that has exemplified our brand and all Mohegan properties, we’re thrilled about the next phase of Mohegan Pennsylvania.

He also praised the team and the management of the casino resort, and he outlined some of the planned additions that would be part of Project Starlight. This included a new bar and live music venue called the Hive Taphouse. This will have a range of beer options, multiple big screens, and a comprehensive range of dining options.

According to officials from the casino resort, Mohegan Pennsylvania has become a premier destination for gambling as well as for entertainment over the years. It is located in Plains Township and spans 400 acres. At present, it already has a huge convention space, a hotel, and a full-service spa. The facilities available will be expanded as part of the renovation project.

Once the renovations have been completed at the casino resort, the area will be able to benefit in many ways. The expansion will, of course, benefit the operator as it could bring in many more people who want to experience and enjoy the new additions to the property.
