Mohegan Digital Chooses PayNearMe
Mohegan Digital, the online gaming division of Mohegan, has announced a new partnership with fintech firm PayNearMe to power the payment experience for its recently launched online casino in Pennsylvania.
Under the recent agreement, PayNearMe’s MoneyLine platform will become the exclusive deposit and payout solution for Mohegan Digital’s Play.MoheganPACasino.com site.
Payment Offering Key to Market Differentiation
For Mohegan Digital President Rich Roberts, providing players with a wide array of convenient funding options from day one was crucial to standing out in the highly competitive Pennsylvania iGaming market. He stated:
To differentiate our brand in the Pennsylvania online gaming market, we knew we needed to offer players the most deposit and payout options immediately at launch.
The integration with PayNearMe’s MoneyLine platform allows Mohegan Digital to accept deposits via traditional channels like debit/credit cards and ACH, as well as digital wallets PayPal and Venmo. Players can also fund their accounts with cash at over 60,000 retail locations nationwide.
When it comes to withdrawals, the platform facilitates fast payouts through push-to-debit, ACH, PayPal and Venmo. Roberts claims that the large number of payment methods PayNearMe is able to offer – and the speed at which transactions are processed – allows the company to stay competitive while offering a solid product for all involved.
Additional Benefits to Increase Operator Value
Beyond just payment options, the partnership with PayNearMe provides Mohegan Digital with additional benefits to streamline its operations and improve the overall experience it offers to players. MoneyLine’s technology infrastructure connects operators to multiple merchant processors, ensuring full redundancy in the case of an outage.
Essentially, PayNearMe has done the hard work of building a technology infrastructure that enables online gambling operators to connect to multiple merchant processors.
Operators are also given access to significant amounts of player data, which can then be used to further streamline the depositing process, discover new player trends, and optimize the cashier experience for players.
Designed specifically for the complex payment and regulatory challenges of iGaming in the United States, PayNearMe’s MoneyLine platform has quickly become the deposit and payout solution of choice for operators in the U.S. market. The company currently facilitates payments for licensed operators across 25 states.
Looking Ahead
The Mohegan Digital integration marks another milestone for PayNearMe as it further expands its footprint in the U.S. iGaming market. With several states considering iGaming legislation this year, the company will no-doubt be looking to enter new regulated markets – and with deals like the one with Mohegan Digital, they’re showing they’re able to compete on the big stage and work with the US’ biggest operators.
Of course, Mohegan Digital is also set to benefit from the partnership, as the addition of MoneyLine’s large payment processor should allow it to capture new players, who, previously, were unable to make deposits and withdrawals in a way they wanted to. Of course, it’s a bold move going exclusive with them – but they’ve done their research and have clearly decided that this is the right move for them.
