The Hard Rock Casino in Gary, Indiana has revealed it is continuing its recruitment drive to find new staff for its dining facilities. There will be five dining options at the casino, all of which are currently hiring.

Among the dining venues that the venue is hiring for is the new Council Oaks Steaks and Seafood facility. Both dining and beverage team members are being sought for this facility, with the casino hoping to transform it into one of the area’s most popular steakhouses.

Late Spring Opening for Hard Rock

The Hard Rock Casino is scheduled to open later this spring, and the wide range of restaurants that it offers will help to ensure there is something to suit every palate.

The new steakhouse that the casino is hiring for is designed to be a high-end eatery in a luxurious setting, so officials from the casino are hoping that it will be busy and bring in a lot of custom.

Speaking about the recruitment drive, Dawn Reynolds-Pettit, vice president of human resources at Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana, said that it had been a difficult year for many people in the hospitality industry. She said:

We realize this has been a tough year for people in the hospitality industry and we are very happy to be in a position to help so many of them get back to the business of working. There’s no better way to find a fresh start than with a new career.

In addition to hiring for the steakhouse, the casino is also looking for food and beverage team members for its world-famous Hard Rock Café, the onsite noodle bar, the casino buffet, and the onsite coffee shop. There are various positions that the venue is hiring for, with several hundred positions needing to be filled.

This provides a great opportunity for those in the Gary area, particularly those who have prior experience in a casino setting. The massive job losses seen over the past year within this industry have left many without a regular income. With casinos such as this starting to recruit again, it could come as much-needed good news for those in the hospitality sector.
