Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River
It has recently been revealed that Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River has hit an impressive milestone in its $275 million expansion project. This comes with the news that the property has now completed the structural work on its new 12-story hotel tower. The Topping Out Ceremony that was held recently saw community leaders and construction teams celebrate the milestone.
The event was attended by a wide range of people, including executives from Harrah’s Cherokee leadership, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians dignitaries, and representatives from the construction firm Robins & Morton.
The ceremony is a traditional event to mark the completion of the building’s steel framework. During the event, attendees had the opportunity to sign the final steel beam as a mark of the role they played in the development.
Testament to Hard Work and Collaboration of Those Involved
Lumpy Lambert, the General Manager of Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River, expressed his gratitude toward the hard work and efforts of all parties involved at the ceremony.
He said that this important milestone was not just a celebration of structural completion but a testament to the hard work and collaboration of everyone who had been involved in the project.
Lambert added that it was exciting
…to see how far we’ve come during this expansion project since breaking ground in 2022. We are particularly grateful to our stakeholders, partners, and construction teams for their continued efforts and support. They are the backbone of this project and have played a significant role in us reaching this milestone.
The first phase of the expansion in May included the opening of a 25,000-square-foot casino floor and a 10-table World Series of Poker room at the property. This helped to improve the gaming experience for visitors to the casino. The ongoing second phase of the project is set to further enhance the experience for guests and visitors.
What Visitors Can Expect from the Expansion
Once it is completed, the new hotel tower will add close to 300 guest rooms, expanding the property’s accommodation capacity. The expansion also includes the addition of an indoor pool and fitness center aimed at enhancing the health and recreational offerings for guests.
One of the most exciting features of the expansion is the introduction of a 12,000-square-foot rooftop restaurant. This dining venue will feature a 12-seat bar and a wine cellar, offering panoramic views that guests can enjoy.
In addition, a new 9,600-square-foot spa is set to be opened, equipped with six treatment rooms, a lounge area, and a salon. Officials said that this is all designed to provide a luxurious and relaxing experience to visitors.
Robins & Morton, which is the construction company overseeing the project, has been praised for ensuring the development stays on schedule. The new amenities are expected to be completed by late 2024, which will help to boost both the resort’s appeal and capacity.
With the completion of the second phase now within sight, officials believe that the resort will become a very popular destination within the area. It is expected to enhance both the guest experience and the economic prospects of the region.
