Muckleshoot Casino in Washington
It was recently reported that there is a new entertainment option now available for people living in or visiting Auburn, Washington. This comes in the form of an exciting new casino resort offering a wide range of facilities and amenities for gamblers and those seeking entertainment or a luxury stay.
This comes after the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe officially launched its latest venture, the Muckleshoot Casino Resort. The new casino resort will make a valuable addition to the area’s hospitality and entertainment industries.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held earlier this year, on January 3, 2024, at the Muckleshoot Events Center in Auburn, Washington. However, this was just a precursor to the grand opening celebrations scheduled for later in the month.
January Grand Opening for the General Public
The grand opening of the Muckleshoot Casino Resort took place on Friday, January 26, and ran through to Sunday, January 28. Prior to the opening, the casino released details of entertainment, which included performances by comedian David Spade and the iconic rock group Blue Oyster Cult.
Ticket prices for these events ranged from $60 to $125. However, the festivities extended beyond these performances, with guests enjoying the opportunity to win huge cash prizes, free plays at the casino, complimentary stays at the resort, and even a $100,000 stake toward a new car.
The earlier January 3 official opening was a grand affair, with Muckleshoot Indian Tribe leaders conducting the ribbon-cutting ceremony amid excited crowds. There were also CO2 cannons, LED displays, and confetti shots.
The ceremony was attended by senior tribal members and veterans, who were honored with a guard march, traditional drummers, a tribal prayer, and a song and dance by the Canoe family.
According to reports, the new casino resort boasts an impressive 18-story hotel tower, comprising 401 rooms and 27 luxury suites. The size of the casino floor has also been increased and improved to cater to a wide range of gaming enthusiasts.
Among the wide range of amenities are an indoor pool, a state-of-the-art spa, and the rooftop Smoke & Cedar restaurant, offering a stunning panoramic view of Mount Rainier.
A New Milestone and Future Prospects
The grand opening for the general public was not just a celebration but also represented a key milestone for the tribe and the resort. With a focus on guest service, the venue is set to use its extensive hotel and casino resources to provide a top-notch experience.
Yvonne Johnson, Director of Resort Operations, said:
From a whisper to a resort, we have built the next level of experience for regional tourism here in the PNW. The addition of a dynamic resort experience to Muckleshoot Casino exemplifies the Muckleshoot Tribe’s unwavering commitment and dedication to developing unmatched guest experiences.
Officials from the tribe have said that they are committed to bringing high-quality entertainment and hospitality to Auburn. This venture not only helps to boost the local economy but also adds a new option when it comes to entertainment and hospitality for those in the area.
