Grand Opening of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
It has been revealed that the grand opening of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol in Virginia has been postponed. An announcement was made by officials from Hard Rock, who sent out a news release with details of the new timeline for the completion of the project. The opening was originally set for July, but it was confirmed that it will now be later this year.
Originally, the casino was set to be opening in phases as each section was completed. However, executives at Hard Rock have now decided that it will be better to have a grand opening once everything is complete and ready to open. Officials from the casino giant said that they believed a single grand opening would mean a far better experience for guests.
Recent legislation in Virginia granted casino operators six additional months to complete projects as long as they already had a temporary casino facility that was accessible and that would form part of the permanent one.
Hard Rock’s temporary casino has enjoyed great success, and officials have said that it has set the stage for the success of the permanent facility once it opens.
Allie Evangelista, President of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol, said:
The response to our temporary casino has been overwhelmingly positive, demonstrating the excitement for Hard Rock’s permanent presence in Bristol. While we are eager to unveil the new resort, this extension allows us time to ensure the finished product exceeds the expectations of our guests and the community.
In the meantime, there are hundreds of workers who are said to be working hard onsite in a bid to help get the permanent casino completed. As such, Hard Rock is continuing to hire employees for a range of positions, despite the delay in the grand opening of the permanent casino.
While the delay with the opening might be disappointing for those who were waiting for the unveiling of the initial phase, it will mean an exciting time ahead for gamblers in the area later this year.
No set date has been given for the grand opening as yet, but with summer already here, it is unlikely to be too long a wait for those who are eager to try out the amenities and facilities of the permanent Hard Rock Bristol venue.
The temporary casino facility was opened back in 2022, and this was an interim space for Bristol residents until the permanent establishment was ready to open. The temporary casino boasts 30,000 square feet of space, has around 900 slots, offers 20 table games, and has a sportsbook. There is also a lounge and sports bar as well as a range of dining facilities.
The permanent facility will offer a wide range of amenities and facilities once it is opened. This includes a two-tower hotel, where guests will be able to relax overnight in style and luxury when visiting the facility and area.
