Colorado Gambler Wins Jackpot
A very lucky gambler in Colorado landed a huge jackpot win, the largest seven-figure win in the state’s history. The player is now $1,085,435.89 richer. A traveler to Colorado visited the Monarch Casino Resort Spa in Black Hawk and played the Dragon Link slot machine to manage this win.
The Monarch Casino Resort and Spa said in a press statement that the visitor was playing on the Dragon Link slot machine and landed this win off a $50 bet.
The gambler, who remains anonymous, managed to hit this huge win and make headlines. The progressive jackpot was already reaching massive amounts. The casino said that this was the first time someone had ever won a prize as big as that, which was the biggest win in the property’s 12-year history.
Monarch Casino Resort Spa marketing director Erica Ferris said:
Jackpots like these are extremely rare, and to see one happen, our gaming floor was quite the spectacle.
Hitting a $1,000,000 jackpot might seem familiar in places like Las Vegas, but Colorado has not seen a million-dollar win from a progressive jackpot in many years.
A Colorado Springs resident set the previous record with a win of $805,329 at the Wild Casino in 2017. When looking at the Centennial State’s history with jackpots, we see $500,000 being won quite frequently. As recently as 2021, another resident won $568,319 at Wild Casino.
It seems as though the hottest new venue and talk of the town is now Monarch Casino Resort and Spa, which now holds the jackpot record; let’s see how long this one will stand.
