Expansion of Harrah’s in North Carolina

It has been revealed that the multimillion-dollar expansion of Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel in North Carolina has now started.

The property is operated by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians along with Caesars Entertainment, and the project is set to cost around $275 million to complete. The ground-breaking for the project took place last week, and it is thought that the expansion will be completed in 2024.

Casino officials have expressed excitement over the project, as they said it will enable guests and visitors to enjoy new and unique experiences. There are lots of plans in place as part of the project, and many new amenities and facilities are set to be added to the venue.

It was also announced that both the hotel and the casino will undergo improvements and expansions as part of the project.

Striving to Exceed Expectations

Officials from the casino said that they have always strived to not only meet but exceed expectations, and to provide the best experiences possible for visitors and guests to the facility. This will be made even easier once the expansion and improvements have been made, as there will be far more for visitors to enjoy.

Tommy Lambert, chair of the EBCI’s Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise, said:

Since opening day, we have continued to exceed all expectations set for us. We are grateful for the continued support we have received and look forward to welcoming guests to enjoy new experiences.

As part of the huge expansion plans, around 400 slot machines will be added to the casino along with a dozen table games, a WSOP poker room with ten tables, a bar seating more than 20 people, and the addition of 25,000 square feet to the gaming area. In addition, there will be extra guest rooms added to the hotel, which will bring the total number of rooms to 296.

Other amenities that are set to be added to the venue as part of the expansion include an indoor pool, a new fitness facility, a full-service salon and spa, 1,700 extra parking spaces, and electric charging stations for drivers of electric vehicles.

More Jobs to Be Created

In addition to creating more experiences for visitors, the expansion will also lead to many new jobs. This is something that can help to boost the local economy and provide new opportunities for those looking for work. This includes a combination of new jobs within the casino resort itself and many construction jobs.

According to Caesars officials, there will be more than 2,500 new construction openings created as a result of the expansion. In addition, there will be around 100 new full-time positions at the casino resort due to the project.

Another benefit that was highlighted was the increased revenue for the casino and the state, as the improvements could bring many more people to the resort. This could also benefit other local businesses as they are likely to see increased trade from the higher number of visitors to the area.
