Fremont Casino Unveils Impressive Expansion and Refresh
It has been reported that Boyd Gaming, which has become a leading player in the gaming and hospitality industry, has completed a significant expansion and refresh of the renowned Fremont Hotel and Casino, situated in the heart of downtown Las Vegas.
Commencing in early 2022, the extensive project has transformed the property, with a key focus on improving the casino floor. The gaming floor now boasts additional gaming space, modern amenities, and an overall refreshed appearance.
Over the course of 18 months, the $50 million investment has involved revamping the casino in phases. According to officials, this ensured that regular visitors and guests could see the transformation as it happened. The casino floor has been expanded to include a wide array of updated features, making it a great destination for both locals and tourists.
A Range of New Additions
Among the key changes is the introduction of a spacious new food hall, complete with a patio area and a direct entrance from Third Street. The new food hall focuses on providing visitors with an array of dining options that are unique to the area.
This 13,500-square-foot dining space features popular options such as Steak ‘n Shake, Huey Magoo’s, Roli Roti, CRAFTkitchen, and Tomo Noodles, offering a diverse and tantalizing selection of cuisines to cater to a variety of tastes and budgets.
The replacement of traditional buffets has been seen in Las Vegas since the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fremont Casino has repurposed the space formerly occupied by its popular buffet to accommodate these new eateries. In addition, a section of an old parking lot has been utilized to make way for the expansion.
The gaming floor itself has undergone a massive transformation, with the addition of 10,000 square feet of space and 120 new slot machines. This brings the total to over 700 slot machines, alongside 22 table games and close to 20 electronic table games. Patrons can now look forward to a richer and more diversified gaming experience.
The Bar, which is a large gaming bar, has been updated as part of the revamp, offering guests a contemporary and stylish space to relax and unwind.
The Fremont sportsbook has also seen substantial improvements, now boasting a new FanDuel-branded space operated by Boyd Gaming. This sportsbook features a range of betting options, comfortable seating, and modern gaming kiosks, enabling sports fans to immerse themselves in the action in an ideal setting.
An Enhanced Gaming Experience
Boyd has a strong presence in Las Vegas. According to PlayUSA:
Boyd Gaming is a national casino operator with 28 properties in 10 states. Nine of those casinos are in Las Vegas.
The extensive overhaul of the Fremont Casino not only enhances the gaming experience for patrons but also ensures that the property remains a popular option in downtown Las Vegas.
The operator has focused on adding modern facilities as well as more space, which will help to draw in the crowds. An increase in visitor numbers in the downtown area will also benefit other businesses located nearby.
