Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River in North Carolina Casino Visitors Enjoy Expansion Benefits

It has been revealed that Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel in Murphy, North Carolina, is undergoing a $275 million renovation and expansion project. The changes will mean an enhanced experience for visitors, and many have already experienced some of the benefits of the overhaul.

Recent changes that form part of the improvements have provided guests with a taste of what to expect, with additions such as an expanded gaming area and the opening of the property’s own World Series of Poker (WSOP) Room. This will enable visitors to enjoy even more gaming entertainment and could help bring in more people to boost the success of the casino.

The Improvements Made So Far

The casino resort is owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and operated by Caesars Entertainment. Recently, casino officials revealed the improvements made to the gaming floor, which now boasts an additional 25,000 square feet of gaming space. This means that the casino floor now stands at 75,000 square feet, providing plenty of room for entertainment and gaming.

The expanded space has resulted in the installation of 300 additional slot machines and the inclusion of eight live dealer table games, further enhancing the gaming options available to guests. Shortly after the unveiling, it was reported that one player won a $1,605 jackpot on a Double Double Bonus Poker machine.

Adding to the appeal of the improved gaming floor is a centrally located bar boasting 22 seats, along with nine bar-top video gaming machines. This will make the casino even more attractive to many visitors who are looking to relax and unwind as well as enjoy gaming entertainment.

It was also revealed that the casino has launched its long-awaited WSOP Room, which will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., extending hours until 4 a.m. on weekends. Currently hosting cash games, the WSOP Room is gearing up to kick off weekly $80 No-Limit Hold’em tournaments on Monday and Thursday nights, which will mean exciting poker action for enthusiasts.

Revamp is Property’s First Major Makeover

The ongoing $275 million revamp is the resort’s first major renovation project, and it marks a new era of hospitality and entertainment. Alongside the expanded gaming area and the WSOP room, the investment will also result in the construction of a new hotel tower, boasting nearly 300 rooms to accommodate guests in style and luxury.

Lumpy Lambert, general manager of Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River, said:

We are ecstatic to reach this milestone in our expansion process and unveil the expanded gaming floor, which represents the culmination of months of hard work and dedication both from our internal team members and general contractor.

Other expected additions include a full-service spa and salon, along with a sprawling 1,700-space parking garage, which will provide visitors with increased convenience when driving to the casino resort.

With the hotel tower set to double the destination’s current room capacity, the upcoming amenities are set for completion and unveiling before the end of the year, providing an enhanced experience for patrons of Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel.

Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River is the sister property of Harrah’s Cherokee, which is a larger establishment. It caters mainly to gamblers from neighboring Georgia and Tennessee, where casino gambling remains restricted, and it has become a popular option among gamblers in the region.
