Boyd Gaming Corp to Open New Casino

It has been revealed that Boyd Gaming Corp plans to open a new casino in Henderson. The new gambling facility, the Cadence Crossing Casino, marks another important investment in Southern Nevada for the gaming giant. The new venue will be opened on the site of the operator’s current casino, Jokers Wild Casino in Henderson.

Company officials made the announcement recently during a quarterly earning meeting with investors. The operator said that it was keen to reinvest in the area and increase its footprint in Southern Nevada. It was also revealed that construction on the new casino will begin later this year, and it should be ready to open by the early part of 2026.

What the New Casino Will Offer

The new casino is set to offer a host of facilities and entertainment to locals and visitors to the area. There will be a 10,000-square-foot casino floor boasting a wide range of gaming options, including 450 slots. There will also be live entertainment on offer to create a more exciting experience for patrons, as well as a variety of dining options.

Once the casino opens, it will help to revitalize the area, providing thrilling entertainment options for those in the area. The new casino will be located on a site that spans 15 acres and is adjacent to the Cadence community, which is a master-planned project set to have over 12,000 residential units upon completion.

As the community grows, we can grow with it based on demand, so we feel pretty good about the opportunity. A modest investment on day one (with) opportunity to grow into the future.

It was also revealed that there could be a second phase to the construction project, which could see the addition of a hotel as well as the expansion of the casino.

In the meantime, the company confirmed that in order to make way for the new casino, the existing Jokers Wild casino will be closed and demolished.
